Bubble Boy

Hello Hello Hello!!!! Yes, I'm still here in blogland, I've just not had the time or the mojo for crafting lately. I've surprisingly not even made a card

However, I decided it was high time I at least posted something. I created these quick LO's maybe about 3 or 4 weeks ago. These were some "I woke up way early in the morning" creations. I think I actually started both, then just ended up finishing them in the wee hours of the morning.
I can't seem to get enough of this paper. My not so local, local scrapbook store is closing at the end of this month so I plan on purchasing her entire stash of this accounting paper. And yes I about cried when Erin sent out the email notifying us of her closing shop. I guess now I'll have to become more of an online ordering gal huh? I'll still make some quick trips to Archiever's sometimes, but online will have to become my bestie.

Back to my LO's

I'm so happy I found these wooden buttons at Michael's, I love them! You can sand them to distress or add stickles or even distress ink to change them up a bit. They are such a fun notion to add to your LO's and cards.

My next LO is totally simple, like almost too simple. I had NOOOO mojo really when I created this one, but for some reason I felt like pulling out a LOT of embellishments and just over embellishing this page...luckily I digressed.

As simple as it is, I really like the page. And it's made up of mainly left over pieces. I really had a tough time putting together the words.

As you see I had to type up the word "taking". I cut it out and distressed the edges a bit and just made it fit. Happily, it all worked out grand.

Love to splatter paint:)

I printed/used two different size pictures of the same and layered the look a bit by using foam squares to lift the wallet sized pic. I really like the look of using the same pic on a LO and just varying or staggering the sizes, especially action type pictures (like Aaron skateboarding or on park rides). Those are the type of pictures I can scrap time and time again, plus that gives me a way to add that particular picture in each of our scrapbooks. As I create not one scrapbook for the house, but I create one for each of us. That way as my kids become adults they can take their book(s) with them to cherish and Don and I will still have our book, all with about the same memories inside.

Now, let's hope this post will get me back into the groove of things or at least the upcoming trip to my not so local, local scrapbook store that'll soon be closing. I'll certainly take plenty of pictures of my last visit to my fav store.

Happy Crafting!
